Compliments and Complaints

Compliments

  • We are always pleased to know if you think something has gone well
  • Like every one we enjoy being told when we have got something right
  • A number of parents always make a point of doing this and we find that it helps in planning whether or not something should continue or be repeated
  • We genuinely welcome your opinions
  • A note or quick word to the teacher concerned or to the head will be greatly valued

Reading Workshop Y3/4

Well organised and informative. Gave me some interesting ideas as how to help my daughter read for pleasure.

Really lovely to get a picture of reading and the examples from school. Loved the last bit - the beanbags!

Absolutely lovely. Got loads of information and really enjoyed the reading together at the end. Would love to do the reading bit again.

Phonics Workshop EYFS

I think this was brilliant. It shows parents how the children learn at school so we can continue at home.

A wonderful workshop with the children, teachers and parents understanding Phonics sounds. Lots of fun and so enjoyable seeing the children so engaged and happy to learn.

Class Worship

A lovely session sharing faith in such an important season.

Lovely to see the children so engaged and well behaved as they prepare for Christmas.

Very sweet to see the children sitting together learning. Very special to observe.

If you have a concern the school would like to hear about it.

  • You can be assured that whatever the nature of your concern, the school’s support for your child will not change in any way.
  • All concerns will be properly considered.
  • School should be informed about a concern as soon as possible, so that it can be investigated
  • Many concerns can be quickly resolved with goodwill, often by making early contact with the class teacher.

While you cannot always expect school to agree with your point of view, your concerns will be properly considered and if there are lessons to be learned which will prevent a problem arising again, then the school will take action. Your role as a parent or carer, and your views, are important. We are committed to listening to, and working with, parents and carers.

Should you, on the rare occasion, need to make a formal complaint, please speak initially to Mrs Burch. If after this, you remain concerned please follow the complaints procedure, as outlined in the policy below.
